MANAGING MEMBER

Paul Norris

Paul Norris is the Managing Member of Consortium Structured Investments. Prior to his involvement with Consortium, Mr. Norris was with Wachovia (and acquired institutions) for 31 years. Formerly with Dominion Bank, Mr. Norris served as manager of the Dominion Trust Company Real Estate and Special Assets Group and as President of the Dominion Bank Community Development Corporation. After starting the Bank’s investment program in Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credits in 1988, Mr. Norris joined Dominion’s Investment Banking Group in 1991. In 1994, Mr. Norris moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and received a funding commitment of $500M from First Union for the newly formed Tax Credit Investment Group. He served as Managing Director for First Union Capital Markets Group (later to merge into Wachovia Securities – Capital Markets Group) during which time the group originated over $3B of real estate investments in tax credit enhanced opportunities.

Blake Schell
Blake Schell joined Consortium Structured Investments in the spring of 2007. Mr. Schell’s experience includes engagements focused on structuring and executing tax-advantaged transactions primarily involving Federal Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits Federal New Markets Tax Credits, and a variety of state tax credits. Prior to joining Consortium Structured Investments, Mr. Schell was a Senior Associate in the Transaction Advisory Services Practice of CohnReznick, LLP and an Associate in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Mr. Schell graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Wake Forest University with a B.A in Analytical Finance and a M.A. in Accountancy. A Pennsylvania native, Mr. Schell lives north of Charlotte, NC near Lake Norman with his family and three children.

Jacob Norris
Jacob E. Norris became part of the Consortium team in August of 2007. He interfaces on just about all aspects of the business with the primarily focus on deal and investor origination efforts for CSI’s business line. Throughout his 12-year tenure in the tax credit industry he has been involved in putting together over 350MM of equity which represents 2B of closed transactions. He initially began to work as an entrepreneur in real estate throughout the south east part of NC. In 2006, he transitioned into Private Equity/Commercial Development for a start-up development company in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina and from there joined Consortium. He was born and raised in Roanoke Virginia, moving to Charlotte in 1995. Jacob is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Mr. Norris lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and four children.
